[VIDEO] 13-year-old gives emotional speech about dad who was killed in Ukrainian plane crash
Thirteen-year-old Ryan Pourjam gave an emotional speech about his father, who died in Ukrainian plane crash, at a memorial service at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. Watch video:Ottawa: Iran on Saturday accepted that its military 'unintentionally' shot down a Ukrainian plane, killing all 176 aboard on January 8. The Iranian military blamed human error for the shot down and said that the plane was mistaken for a "hostile target".
A 13-year-old boy who lost his father in the crash gave an emotional speech at a memorial service at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. While it might be hard for many to express their emotions about the demise of a loved one, Ryan Pourjam's unbelievable poise has surprised many. Ryan said that his father Mansour Pourjam was a positive person.

"I can't remember a single moment in my life when my dad, Mansour, had any trace of negativity in his voice or actions. He’d always tell me to stay positive through the dark times and through the good, when we'd get stuck in traffic or when I couldn't get the coffee that I wanted," he began.
"I don’t want to talk about bad things. Because I know that if my dad was alive and if someone else died in the crash and that he was right here giving a speech, he wouldn't talk about the bad stuff. I won’t," the 13-year-old continued.
Ryan described his father in one word as "strong".
"While so many of us struggle to find the words to express our sadness over the many lives lost in last week's horrific plane crash, 13-year-old Ryan — who lost his beloved father, Mansour — shows unbelievable poise in the face of extreme tragedy. We can all learn from Ryan," Catherine McKenna, Canadian Minister of Infrastructure and Communities wrote while tweeting Ryan's speech.
