1. PMB In Lagos: Full List Of Roads To Be Closed


The Lagos State Government has released a list of roads to be closed as President Muhammadu Buhari visits on Wednesday.  Buhari will be in the commercial centre for the commission of some projects during the one-day visit. In a statement, the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation noted that there would be traffic diversion on some major roads to ease Buhari’s movement. It said Buhari’s visit would run from 9.00am to 3.00pm.

2. Dogara Issues Warning To Tinubu Over Budget-padding Allegation


The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has warned the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, to mind his language in a reply to the latter’s allegation that the National Assembly has been padding the national budget for four years. Dogara, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Turaki Hassan, carpeted Tinubu, describing him as “ignorant of the budgetary process.”

3. Wole Soyinka Gives Verdict On Generation Of Nigerians

Nobel laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka says his generation has failed Nigeria. A lawmaker from Abia state Nkeiruka Onyejeocha has asked the majority leader of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, to step down for her in the race for speakership. Onyejeocha, a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), made this known on Tuesday despite her party’s endorsement of Gbajabiamila for the position.

5. Osun Guber Dispute: PDP Rejects Justice Oyewole As Member Of Appeals Panel


The inclusion of Justice J.O.K Oyewole as member of the Osun State governorship election appeal panel has been rejected by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The PDP said its position was predicated on the grounds that Justice Oyewole allegedly has strong connections with the All Progressives Congress (APC), which is an interested party in the appeal and cannot be neutral.

6. Shi’ites Shut Down Parts Of Abuja In Remembrance Of El-Zakzaky

Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), also known as Shiites, marched on the streets of Abuja on Tuesday to commemorate the birthday of Ibrahim el-Zakzaky, their leader. The spiritual leader is facing trial over “culpable homicide, unlawful assembly, and disruption of public peace.”
